Earlier this afternoon, we released our December 2023 e-newsletter from R. F. Meyer & Associates. If you did not receive it by email, please see the link below to open it in PDF form from our website. With an eye to the holidays ahead, the newsletter reviews a few informational articles that may be of interest.
Our December 2023 articles cover:
- The little-known Program for All-Inclusive Care of the Elderly (PACE) provides care and services to some nursing home-eligible seniors and disabled individuals. Dating back to the 1970s, PACE enables recipients to remain in their homes far longer than they might otherwise be able to do.
- For those ready to ditch lawn- and home-care yet looking for stable, attractive housing in their retirement, a wide range of Independent Living Facilities offer options.
- Less than a third of seniors over 70 who could benefit from hearing aids use them. But the FDA’s approval of Over-The-Counter hearing aids a little more than a year ago offer less expensive options, and new studies suggest we can benefit: Treating hearing loss reduces cognitive decline and lowers the risk of dementia significantly.
We hope you find these December 2023 articles interesting and informative.
