Dear Clients and Referral Partners,
This afternoon, we issued our November 2022 client e-newsletter. If you did not receive it by email, please see the below link to open it from our website.
As our bodies adjust back to Standard Time and we look ahead to Thanksgiving, we have another batch of newsy articles to share this month.
Our November 2022 newsletter articles cover:
- Inflation adjustments are giving a big boost to allowable contributions to retirement plans. Next year, you will be allowed to contribute up to $22,500 into your 401(k), 403(b), most 457 plans or the Thrift Savings Plan for federal employees. That’s up $2,000 – or roughly 9.8% – from the current $20,500 federal contribution limit.
- An estimated 3 million children in the United States reside with grandparents who have committed to being their primary caregivers. These “grandfamilies” face unique challenges and this month are being celebrated as part of National Family Caregivers Month. If you or someone you know is in this category, make sure you (or they) know how to access the wide array of available resources to help care for these grandchildren.
- Sleep is an issue for many seniors. Recent studies are pointing to bad health outcomes that arise from chronic lack of sleep – specifically, men who get less than 5 hours of sleep a night. If you fall in that category, it may be a topic to discuss with your physician.
We hope you find the November 2022 articles interesting and informative. As always, should you have legal questions related to any Elder Law or Estate Planning issue, please contact our experienced staff at R. F. Meyer & Associates for help.
